NATG III Day 13 - Transforming Opinions

I could not believe what I was seeing. One of these monsters... showing such emotion. My fear steadily gave way to my amazement as he continued to sing, and I attempted to sit up, only to wince as a sharp pain shot up through my right foreleg. I must have twisted it during the previous day's half-remembered exertion. I carefully pushed myself up with my left foreleg and looked back over at my odd compatriot. He was still singing; his stance as of yet unchanged. He evidently had not yet realized that I was active. Overcome by curiosity, I slowly stood up and moved closer to him, staying as quiet as my three-legged stance allowed. He remained fully absorbed in his melancholic song as I approached. But as I started to take a closer look at him, his song reached it's conclusion, and I froze up as he lowered his head. After what seemed to be an eternity, he finally opened his eyes and glanced in my direction.

Fearing an attack, I jolted backwards, almost tripping over my own hooves in the process. But he merely turned his head to fully look at me, and said, "Easy there. I'm not going to hurt you." All I could do in reply was stammer incoherently.

This is my submission for Day 13 of Equestria Daily's Newbie Artist Training Grounds III - Draw a pony transforming/Draw a pony in disguise. I was very pleased to see this theme pop up today because, although I had to interpret it rather loosely, it still fit quite well with the current point of my story. The interpretation would be, as the title indicates, the Stable mare's transforming opinion on Ghouls, due to the behavior she's witnessing from Nocturne. Her fear is obviously not fully gone, but it has nonetheless greatly receded.
