Plants vs Zomponies by Jezendar Plants vs Zomponies by Jezendar
My entry for :iconmlp-atg-alumni:'s Week 95 theme, A Pony Gardening. When the Alumni's theme was posted, my first thought was 'A Pony with Garden Gnomes', but I soon discarded that idea in favor of this one.

Plants vs. Zombies is a silly little tower defense game which involves pretty much exactly what the title indicates: using comical attack plants to destroy an oncoming horde of zombies! As such, it's a pretty obvious fit for this theme, and a pretty silly one at that. And to add a bit to the humor value, I've based the Sunflower design on Cheerilee's cutie mark instead of using the standard design from the game.

Plants and Zomponies were hand-draw, and vector-traced with Inkscape. The background was vector-traced from a game screenshot, with some of the designs and colors altered to resemble the My Little Pony style (particularly the bushes).

Credit goes to :iconhasbroplz: and :iconfyre-flye: for creating MLP:FiM, and to PopCap for creating Plants vs. Zombies.

=DShou's 100 Drawing by the End of the Year Challenge: 6/100. Number of such pictures currently vectored: 1/100.

We're coming...

Thanks. It did make sense for zombie ponies to have tombstones for cutie marks.

Gargantuars would probably look like even bigger versions of Big Mac, and the Bungee Zombies might be pegasi of some form.

I'm not sure what a digger might be, but a snorkel zombie may very well be a seapony.
